PTA Fundraising 2008-2009
For 2008-09, our membership drive continues to be the primary method of raising funds for the PTA. Last year’s PTA survey reflected the preference to continue using this approach. In addition to selecting a membership level and ordering your child’s yearbook, the Membership Form provides you the opportunity to pay your class party donation.
The Completion Instructions and Membership Level Incentives sheet provides directions for the Membership Form and outlines the benefits provided at each membership levels. [If you pay the $6 Dues Only, you only cover PTA administrative expenses like state and national PTA dues, office supplies, paper, website fees, etc.] As your donation level rises, you increase your support for the excellent programs and events you have come to expect from your Wilson Creek PTA. Did you know that your PTA membership provides you with many benefits, including discounts to local events and retailers? Click here to see the local discounts that are available to all members.
 Kroger: Earning Plus Learning
Kroger will donate funds to Wilson Creek Elemenrary School. Just go to the Kroger Website and enter the parents secion. You will be given instructions on how to print the school letter with the necessary barcode. Then bring this barcode into Kroger, and they will scan it onto your Lroger Plus Card. After the initial time, our school will receive funds every time you use your card.
Volunteer Pledge Form
Please complete the Three4Me Volunteer Pledge form included here. We are asking EACH family member to pledge three hours for Wilson Creek this year. Research continues to show that when families are involved in their children's learning both at home and at school, their children do better in school. By completing this form, our Volunteer Coordinator can match you with the committees that you select or that would benefit from your skills and time available.
Spirit Wear
Don't forget to get your spirit wear to show your support of the Wilson Creek Wildcats! If you have not already purchased your spirit wear, we still have items in stock. Contact Heather Oswald (770-476-5768) for information.
Sally Foster Online
You can support Wilson Creek and order your favorite holiday wrapping paper at the same time. We are once again offering this as a service. Follow these directions to ensure that credit is given to the school:
Go to http://www.sallyfoster.com. On the main screen, click GIVE CREDIT. Click CONTINUE. Click the radio button next to GROUP/ACCOUNT NUMBER and type 0851789 in SCHOOL/GROUP ACCOUNT NUMBER. This takes you back to the main screen where you should see Wilson Creek Elementary School listed at the top right of the page. Orders over $70 receive FREE SHIPPING. Additional information will be sent home in the next few weeks about this program. Remember that 50% of your purchases are given back to Wilson Creek PTA.
Science Force
Science Force is a HUGE hit with all grade levels. It is a volunteer run science lab program that each class visits 4-5 times a year. Throughout the year your class Room Parent will ask for volunteers to help with the labs. You don't have to be a science whiz to volunteer! Before the lab, the Leader will explain everything you need to know. Please consider volunteering for Science Force this year - it is an amazing learning program!
